Peel Appoints Sere Purushuttam as Director of Strategic Communications
BRAMPTON, ON (Oct. 3, 2024) – Peel Region is excited to announce the appointment of Sere Purushuttam as Director of Strategic Communications, effective October 15, 2024.
In this role, Sere will lead the communications team in delivering cost-effective, responsive services across Strategic Client Communications, Marketing and Digital Communications, Service Experience, and Service Peel, all in support of the organization.
With an impressive career in strategic communications, Sere brings expertise in developing and executing comprehensive strategies across digital, social, and traditional media platforms.
Sere's leadership will play a key role in aligning Peel Region's communications with our broader organizational strategy, vision, and goals, ensuring we continue to effectively engage and serve our diverse community. His strategic focus will strengthen collaboration across departments and foster deeper connections with residents.
Prior to joining Peel Region, Sere served as Director of Communications at Meta and held the role of Digital Communications Manager at Molson Coors. He holds an MBA from the Ted Rogers School of Management and a BBA from the University of Toronto.
