BRAMPTON, ON (Oct 30, 2024) – This November, Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) will be buzzing with fresh exhibits, fun workshops, and can't-miss events! Dive into the vibrant new collections, including In Love and In Art featuring Jim Reid, Gina Rorai, and David Urban, plus David Blackwood: Ode to Newfoundland. Don't miss the outdoor Apple a Day banners with Brampton Arts Organization, and the powerful Youth on Reconciliation display (created in partnership with the Legacy of Hope and the Department of Canadian Heritage), exploring Reconciliation through the eyes of Canadian youth.

Explore a diverse array of new exhibitions and engage with artists and contributors at this unique FREE event! Ideal for both newcomers and long-time supporters, it promises a vibrant cultural experience.

Exciting Workshops and Events

DIY Studio Time
Saturdays and Sundays, 1 - 4:30 p.m.

Explore exhibitions and connect over self-guided art projects that inspire creativity. Do-it-yourself studio time activities change every month.
November activity: Choo-choo-choose to get creative with us at PAMA. Enjoy a railway-inspired craft to mark the newly opened exhibition All Aboard! The Railways of Peel.
Recommended for ages 5 and up, guardians must accompany children. This drop-in is included in general admission. Free for members.

Peel Remembers - Stories of Home
Nov. 11, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

In commemoration of Remembrance Day, join archivists for a drop-in event showcasing original archival records. Discover life on the home front, overseas experiences, war propaganda, and women’s contributions, as well as letters sent home during both World Wars.
Admission to the archives is free. Access to PAMA's Museum and Art Gallery available with purchase of admission. Recommended for adults, but all are welcome.

Music Night Featuring the Brampton Folk Club
Nov. 21, 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Enjoy the musical talents of local artists and explore our historic spaces with an intimate concert experience featuring the Brampton Folk Club.
Feature: "East Coast Kitchen Party" featuring the Celtic and East Coast duo Brown Ale and friends.
Included in general admission. Recommended for adults, but all music lover's welcome. Free for members.

November PA Day at PAMA - Run Off Some Steam!
Nov. 22, 10 a.m. - 12:30 pm

Looking for a fun way to keep your little ones active this November PA Day? Join PAMA's family program inspired by the new exhibition All Aboard! The Railways of Peel Region. Craft your own train and enjoy a kid-friendly Zumba class!

  • Train-making craft - 10 - 11 a.m. and 1 - 3 p.m.
  • Family Zumba Session - 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Included with General Admission. Recommended for ages 5 to 12. *Parent or Guardian must also register and accompany child.

Heart and Soul - Poetry Performance at PAMA
Nov. 28, 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Join PAMA and Mississauga Poet Laureate Andrea Josic for an evening of poetry exploring love, relationships, and creative inspiration. Enjoy performances from Mississauga’s emerging poetic talent, linked to PAMA's exhibition In Love and In Art.
Included with General Admission, no pre-registration required. Walk-ins welcome.

Heartstrings Drop-Activity with Caledon Pride
Nov. 30, 11a.m. - 4 p.m.

What pulls at your heart strings? What is your source of inspiration and pride? Join Caledon Pride at PAMA and contribute to our interactive textile mural. Reflect on what pride means to you discover community pride through this hands-on activity – a drop-in activity to accompany your museum visit.
Free with Museum Admission.
