BRAMPTON, ON (October 29, 2025) - Pay-what-you-can admission at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) continues until Nov 23. Visitors can celebrate Remembrance Day with a special display in the Peel Archives, enjoy live performances by the Canadian Arabic Orchestra and Brampton Folk Club, get creative in an upcoming art workshop series, and celebrate the launch of PAMA’s new season at the Fall Open House.

Peel Remembers: The Second World War
Thursday, Nov 6, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, Nov 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Discover local stories from the Second World War on the 80th anniversary of its end. Peel archivists will showcase original records about civilian life, soldiers’ experiences abroad, and wartime propaganda. You’ll also get to learn about women’s contributions and view footage of the AVRO Lancaster Bomber.

Admission is pay-what-you-can.

Fall musical performances

Musical Ensemble Performance: Enchanted Oud
Thursday, Nov 6, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. 

Experience a magical night with members of the Canadian Arabic Orchestra, presented by Maple Arts. Enjoy timeless songs on the Oud—one of the world’s oldest instruments, whose rich history spans Ancient Mesopotamia to modern Arabic music. This performance is part of the Festival of Arabic Music and Arts.

Music night with the Brampton Folk Club
Saturday, Nov. 20, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Enjoy an intimate musical concert in our historic spaces. Local duos Julia and Peter, and Ablett and Cooper, will be performing music that inspires change. Their music is inspired by the powerful exhibition Redraw: A Radical History Poster Project.

Get creative

Block Print Workshop Series
3-session workshop on November 16, 23, 30, 2 to 4 p.m. 

Create your own festive stationery in this 3-session workshop led by a PAMA art educator. This workshop involves fine motor skills like carving. Learn block printing and reduction techniques as you carve cheerful designs to make cards, decor, or gifts. All skill levels are welcome.

Register by Nov. 16 to join all 3 sessions.
