Digital Peel wins 2025 CIO Awards Canada

BRAMPTON, ON (Jan. 9, 2026) – Peel Region is one of the winners of the 2025 CIO Award Canada by the International Data Corporation (IDC) and CIO for the Digital Peel Program. Annually, IDC and CIO recognize the tech world’s most innovative organizations and accomplished leaders.

This prestigious award celebrates exceptional Canadian organizations that are leveraging technology in innovative ways to drive digital transformation and deliver measurable business value.

The Digital Peel program is a multi-year transformation project designed to deliver a seamless, consistent digital experience for Peel residents. It helps users quickly access key service information, such as eligibility, fees, and how to apply, while improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Services now available on peelregion.ca include, vaccine ordering and Freedom of Information requests, among others.

By digitalizing a core set of services and investing in modern applications and cloud-based tools, the Digital Peel program enhances service delivery and support. It also explores emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence to make services more accessible, personalized, and aligned with evolving resident needs.
