Councillor Paul Vicente re-elected to represent Peel Region on AMO Board of Directors
BRAMPTON, ON (Aug. 20, 2026) - Regional Councillor Paul Vicente has been re-elected by acclamation to the Association of Municipalities of Ontario Board of Directors as a member of the Regional and Single Tier Caucus.
Councillor Vicente is a Regional Councillor for Wards 1 and 5 in the City of Brampton. He has served on the AMO Board since 2020. He brings collaborative leadership and experience working with other governments to advocate for issues such as responsible growth, homelessness solutions, income security, sustainable housing infrastructure, affordable housing, public safety, and stronger provincial-municipal partnerships.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Councillor Vicente will continue to advocate for sustainable funding and practical policy solutions that help growing communities, such Peel region keep pace with economic pressures, housing issues, and evolving community needs.
AMO brings Ontario’s 444 municipalities together to address shared challenges and advance municipal priorities. Its Board helps guide the association’s policy development and advocacy with the Ontario government.
Councillor Vicente’s continued leadership at the Board level gives Peel Region a strong voice to advocate for priorities such as housing, infrastructure, health, and well-being. We look forward to continuing to work with AMO, the Ontario government and our local partners to build a stronger and prosperous future for the Peel community.
