Beat the Heat: Enjoy the Dog Days of Summer at PAMA this August!

BRAMPTON, ON (July 31, 2024) – The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) located in historic downtown Brampton, has an exciting blend of exhibitions including Oh My Dog!, historic tours and adorable programming. Enjoy a visit to PAMA for $15 for two adults and up to five kids. Plus, get a free family pass with any valid library card in Peel Region (Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga).

Drop-in on Tuesdays and Thursdays during August for summer family studio time. Additionally, enjoy a meet and greet with Brampton Animal Services on alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays this August. Also, historic guided tours are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends, simply ask at the information desk for a personal guided tour of our historic spaces!

Exciting Activities and Programming

DIY Studio Time
Saturdays and Sundays, 1 - 4:30 p.m.

Fire and Ice with Mad Science
Aug. 6, 1:30 - 2:15 p.m.

Join Mad Science for an enchanting Fire and Ice experience! Watch as we captivate children with our unique Dry Ice that doesn't melt. Enjoy a foggy dry ice storm, a chilly coin dance, sizzling scissors, and the BIG BURP. The excitement continues with indoor fireworks and vanishing flames.

Included in general admission. Free for members Limited seating Pre-registration required. Adults must accompany children.

Summer Family Studio Time

Tuesdays and Thursdays in Aug., 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Included in general admission. Free for members. Recommended for ages 5 and up, guardians must accompany children.

Meet and Greet with Brampton Animal Services
Aug 8, 13, 22, 27 - 12 - 2 p.m.

Brampton Animal Services will be at PAMA sharing information about pets available for adoption. Learn more about pet adoption process and fostering an animal, plus meet a special animal guest each week!

Included in general admission. Free for members. All ages are welcome.

Calling all Artists and Art Lovers! Live Art Competition
Aug. 17, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Brampton's Live Art Competition invites all artists to showcase their talents in Downtown Brampton for an exciting day of creativity and a chance to win amazing prizes!

Artists will have the opportunity to paint at a location of their choice in downtown, allowing spectators to watch their work come alive throughout the morning. They must use a 16"x20" canvas or watercolor paper in their preferred medium.

The 8th Annual Live Art Competition shall take place at Gallery 35, 35 Queen St. West - Downtown Brampton.
