Wellness Response and Assistance Program

Free and confidential support is available to all Ontario Works clients in Peel.

The Wellness Response and Assistance Program (WRAP) offers mental health and addiction support to individuals and families, in-person or virtually. The support includes but are not limited to:

Several community-based non-profit organizations offer free mental health and addiction support. You can call or email any of the agencies listed here if you’re an Ontario Works client seeking help.

If you need help with transportation or child care costs, please ask your Ontario Works Caseworker to request financial support.

Aims to support the mental health and well-being of clients who receive social assistance such as Ontario Works (OW).

Malton Neighbourhood Services

Offers comprehensive "one-stop" services for mental health, substance use, primary care, education, employment, training, housing, mindfulness, self-care, socialization, and more.

VHA Home HealthCare

Focuses on parents to maintain mental wellness, independence, and stability.

The centre offers round-the-clock mental health support to parent(s) with children 0-4 years who require help with children while they attend services, including therapy and treatment sessions. They also provide parenting classes, skills training, and development.

Catholic Family Services Peel Dufferin

Offers multi-service counseling to individuals, couples, and families from diverse communities. The agency offers comprehensive support, counseling, and therapy to help deal with emotional distress and improve well-being.

Free For All Foundation

The agency offers inclusive wellness programs that focuses on marginalized families, and individuals. They address social issues affecting mental health and wellness, employment, housing, education, and child care to empower youth, seniors, and families.

REST Centres

Offers therapy, professional counselling, and support emotional healing to reduce the stigma around mental health and improve the well-being of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGTBQ+, and marginalized youth.

Roots Community Services Inc.

Provides programs and services for children, youth, women, seniors, and families in Peel. Their inclusive programs are designed to support and empower individuals to overcome life challenges.

Centre for Grief and Healing

Offers support to clients experiencing grief from losing a loved one to suicide, overdose, or a sudden traumatic loss.

The centre offers both open and closed grief support groups, individual peer support, and free educational workshops.
