Project 25-2300 D
Streets affected: Denison Avenue, Braemore Road, Dusty Lane and West Street
Pre-design field investigation
As part of the Flow Central Brampton Program, Peel Region is planning future improvement of the watermain and sanitary sewer system in your area.
- Watermains are underground pipes that bring tap water from our water treatment facility to your area.
- Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home or business to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down a drain or toilet.
As pipes age and our population grows, we need to replace them to provide you with high-quality water and wastewater services.
We will be in your neighbourhood conducting field investigations along Denison Avenue, West Street from Denison Avenue to Railroad Street, Braemore Road and Dusty Lane.
- We will survey your street and use temporary spray paint or flags on roads, driveways, and lawns to locate underground gas, hydro, and cable.
- We will drill holes in the road or municipal right-of-way to collect soil samples, determine ground conditions, or confirm utility locations. The municipal right-of-way includes the street and the municipal-owned land between the street and the water service box, a small, round, metal valve located outside on the property line between your home or business and the road.
- We will take pictures and videos to help restore the area as close as possible to its former condition, after construction takes place.
We expect these activities to take place between June 23, 2025 and September 30, 2025.
Consultant working hours
The work taking place in June and July will be completed by Envision Consultants under contract to Peel Region. The consultant conducting work between August and September is still to be confirmed. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws.
Traffic impacts
There may be minor traffic disruptions during these activities. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions.
