Project 25-2161
Streets affected: Peel Centre Drive
Advance notice and pre-design field investigation
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region will be replacing the sanitary sewer pipes and maintenance holes in your area within the next 2 years, as shown on the attached map. Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home or business to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down a drain or toilet. As pipes age, we need to replace them to provide you with high-quality wastewater services.
Important note
Construction will take place in the municipal right-of-way and within easements.
- The municipal right-of-way includes the street and the municipal-owned land between the street and the water service box, a small, round, metal valve located outside on the property line between your home or business and the road.
- An easement is where Peel Region has legal access to enter your property to maintain and improve Peel’s infrastructure.
This work may impact the bottom of your driveway and the area around the sidewalk. We recommend that you delay major landscaping or driveway paving until construction is completed.
Before construction begins
Before we start construction, we will be in your area conducting field investigations along Peel Centre Drive.
- We will survey your street and use temporary spray paint or flags on roads, driveways, and lawns to locate underground gas, hydro, and cable.
- We may drill holes in the road or municipal right-of-way and/or easement to collect soil samples, determine ground conditions, or confirm utility locations. The municipal right-of-way includes the street and the municipal-owned land between the street and the water service box, a small, round, metal valve located outside on the property line between your home or business and the road.
- We will take pictures and videos to help restore the area as close as possible to its former condition, after construction takes place.
We expect these activities to happen between the end of September and the end of January 2026.
Consultant working hours
The work will be completed by Multiview and Envision under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws.
Traffic impacts
There may be minor traffic disruptions during these activities. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions.
Keeping you informed
We’re currently in the early planning stages, so we cannot give exact dates. As your city’s future planning activities may change, we may also update our plans to replace sanitary sewers. We’ll deliver more detailed information closer to the start of construction.
