Project 25-1301 – December 5, 2025 update
Various locations in Brampton
Project update
Peel Region has been replacing the water services in various locations in the city of Brampton. This work is required to keep providing you with high-quality water.
At this time, we have:
- Replaced and repaired the watermain on various streets.
- Connected properties to the new water services on various streets,
- Repaired driveways, road, curbs, sidewalk and sod (grass) affected by construction.
The remaining work has been put on hold due to the weather. We’ll shut down for the winter on December 19 and clean up on the same day. We will leave the construction site in a safe condition for the rest of the winter
Schedule for remaining construction and repair work
We expect to start again in spring to complete the following:
- Replace and repair and connect the water services on various streets,
- Repair / Complete repairing driveways, road, curbs, sidewalk and sod (grass) affected by our construction. This includes replacing the temporary asphalt on driveways, curbs, sidewalks, and roads to complete final restoration.
We plan to finish in the spring of 2026. More details about restoration will be shared in a follow-up notice.
What to expect during construction
Refer to our short video to learn what to expect before, during, and after watermain construction. The video also answers common questions about:
- Why your water may be temporarily shut off.
- How traffic, parking, and waste collection may be affected.
- How driveways, roads, and sod (grass) are repaired.
Settlement of the ground
It is normal for repaired areas to settle. Let us know if you notice large potholes forming where the driveway, street, or lawn was repaired and we’ll ensure these are fixed.
