Project 25-1251 - May 6, 2026 update
Street affected: Queen Street East
Field investigation update
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region will be installing new watermains and sanitary sewers in your area.
To reduce the overall impact of the field investigations, some work must be completed overnight between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. This work will take place on Queen Street East, from Centre Street to Kennedy Road, and from Rutherford Road to Dixie Road.
Schedule
This work is expected to take place on weeknights from May 11, 2026 at 9 p.m. until June 19, 2026 at 5 a.m. Additional nights may be required due to weather and other unexpected events.
Traffic impacts
We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions. On-street parking will be reduced when we are working on your street.
Noise
We do not expect significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during this time. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Visit work zone safety for more information.
