Project 24-1190
Streets affected: King Street and Emil Kolb Parkway
Public Information Centre and advance notice
As part of the Flow | South Caledon Program, Peel Region will be installing new watermains and sanitary sewers along King Street extending 675 metres west of Humber Station Road to Emil Kolb Parkway. The watermain will then continue south along Emil Kolb Parkway to King Street West to the future Macville Booster Pump Station. See attached map.
Watermains are underground pipes that bring tap water from our water treatment facility to your area.
Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home or business to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down a drain or toilet.
As our population grows, we need to build more watermains and sanitary sewers to provide you with high quality water and wastewater services.
Public Information Centre
Peel Region will be hosting a Public Information Centre (PIC) to provide residents and businesses with an opportunity to learn more about the planned works, review project information, and speak directly with members of the Project Team regarding potential impacts.
Date: Thursday June 4, 2026
Time: 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Albion Bolton Community Centre, Auditorium, 150 Queen Street South, Bolton
The PIC will be held in an informal drop-in format, and attendees are welcome to arrive at any time during the event to review project materials, ask questions, and provide comments to the Peel Region and Project Team representatives in attendance.
Important note
Construction will take place in the municipal right-of-way. This includes the street and the municipal-owned land between the street and the water service box, a small, round, metal valve located outside on the property line between your home or business and the road.
This work may impact the bottom of driveways for homes and businesses located on King Street and Emil Kolb Parkway. We recommend that any major landscaping or driveway paving on King Street and Emil Kolb Parkway is delayed until construction is completed.
Before construction begins
Before we start construction, you may notice several activities in your area:
- We will use spray paint or flags on roads, driveways, and lawns to locate underground gas, hydro, and cable.
- We may drill holes in the road or municipal right-of-way to collect soil samples, determine ground conditions, or confirm utility locations.
- We will take pictures and videos to help restore the area as close as possible to its former condition, after construction.
We expect these activities to happen by the end of 2026.
Keeping you informed
As the Town’s future planning activities may change, Peel Region may update watermain and sanitary sewer installation plans, accordingly. We will provide more detailed information closer to the start of construction.
