Project 23-2272 – September 22, 2026 update
Streets affected: Clarkway Drive, Humber Station Road and Healey Road
Temporary road closure
Peel Region is installing a new watermain and sanitary sewer along Healey Road and Humber Station Road. To safely and efficiently complete this work, Healey Road will be fully closed between 8240 Healey Road and the Canadian Tire Distribution Centre driveway at 8400 Healey Road, 24 hours a day, from September 30, 2026, to mid-October 2026, weather permitting.
During the closure, access will be maintained for local traffic only via Humber Station Road. Pedestrian access will remain available at all times.
Traffic impacts
- Healey Road will have the full closure between 8240 Healey Road and the Canadian Tire Distribution Centre driveway at 8400 Healey Road from September 30, 2026, to mid-October 2026, weather permitting.
- Access via Humber Station Road will be maintained for local traffic only.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Waste collection
If you receive Peel waste collection, your garbage, recycling, and organics will be picked up on your regularly scheduled day. It’s the contractor’s responsibility to move these bins from the end of your driveway to a location where waste collection vehicles can pick them up. Please make sure your house number is marked on each bin, so they are returned to the right address.
Driveway access
We’ll knock on your door if we have to block your driveway. If a trench blocks your driveway access, the contractor will provide metal road plates. We will work to ensure businesses can be accessed. Contact us if you have any access needs.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Visit work zone safety for more information.
