Project 23-2150 - September 10, 2024 update
Streets affected: Kensington Road and Knightsbridge Park
Peel Region is planning to install new sanitary sewer pipes and maintenance holes in your area within the next two years, as shown on the attached map. Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home to a wastewater treatment plant. Wastewater is created when water goes down the drain or is flushed down the toilet. As pipes age and our population grows, we need to replace older sewers and install new ones to keep providing high quality wastewater services to you.
Housing Development is beginning construction on the Chelsea Gardens affordable rental housing project. This project at 4 and 10 Knightsbridge Road involves adding a third tower to the existing two buildings at the site. The new tower will bring 200 new affordable rental units to Brampton.
To complete this work, we are required to temporarily close Knightsbridge Park.
We expect the park to be closed Fall 2024-Fall 2027 for the completion of these two projects.
