Project 23-1310 H – June 5, 2025 update
Streets affected: Derry Road West
Construction update
Peel Region will be replacing the watermain at the intersection of Derry Road West and Shelter Bay Road, and Derry Road West and Montevideo Road. This work is required to keep providing you with high-quality water.
Construction schedule
Construction is planned to start by end of June 2025 and finish by December 2025. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events. All work is warrantied for two years from the completion date.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Vic’s Group Inc. under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighborhood.
Under the City of Mississauga Noise Bylaw, work is allowed to take place overnight Monday to Friday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to reduce the impact of our work.
Traffic and parking
We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Visit peelregion.ca/work zone safety for more information.
