Project 23-1310 H - July 16, 2026 update
Streets affected: Gafney Drive, Merrydrew Court
Road paving
Peel Region will be repairing the road where it was affected by our recent watermain construction. Thank you for your cooperation while we finish this work.
Schedule
We expect road paving activities to begin on Gafney Drive following the completion of work at Merrydrew Court. Paving is anticipated to commence on Wednesday July 22, 2026, and be completed by Friday August 7, 2026.
The Region's contractor will carry out temporary restoration by paving the roadway and affected driveways. Final road restoration will be completed at a later date by the City of Mississauga.
Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. Road paving may be delayed due to weather conditions, as it cannot take place when the ground is saturated with water, or the temperature is below 3°C.
Driveway access and parking
Do not park on the street (or leave any materials) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when paving is scheduled for your street. While your street is being paved, we may block your driveway for a short time. As paving work approaches your home, we recommend parking on another street.
Traffic impacts
We may need to reduce traffic to a single lane during paving activities. Work will be phased to minimize traffic disruption. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Visit work zone safety for more information.
