Project 23-1310 H – December 16, 2025 update
Streets affected: Copenhagen Road, Quetta Mews and Derry Road West
Project update
Peel Region has been replacing the watermains along Copenhagen Road, Quetta Mews and Derry Road West. This work is required to keep providing you with high-quality water.
The remaining watermain and restoration work has been put on hold due to the weather. We’ll shut down for the winter on Friday December 19, 2025 and resume in the week of Monday January 5, 2026. We will have left the construction site in a safe condition for the 2 weeks.
What to expect during construction
Refer our short video to learn what to expect before, during, and after watermain construction. The video also answers common questions about:
- Why your water may be temporarily shut off.
- How traffic, parking, and waste collection may be affected.
- How driveways, roads, and sod (grass) are repaired.
Settlement of the ground
It is normal for repaired areas to settle. Let us know if you notice large potholes forming where the driveway, street, or lawn was repaired and we’ll ensure these are fixed.
