Project update
Peel Region has been installing a new watermain along Gafney Drive, Merrydrew Court, Chigwel Court, Chinook Drive. This work is required to keep providing you with high-quality water.
Construction schedule
Construction is planned to commence in mid April 2026 on Gafney Drive and Merrydrew Court, followed by Chigwell Court and Chinook Drive, with work anticipated to be completed by the end of September 2026. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events. All work is warrantied for two years from the completion date.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Vic’s Group Inc. under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighborhood.
Traffic and parking
We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions. On-street parking will be reduced when we are working on your street.
