Project 22-2300 A2 - October 2, 2025 update
Streets affected: Cathedral Road and Bartley Bull Parkway
Construction work in your area
Peel Region will be replacing the sanitary sewers along Cathedral Road and Bartley Bull Parkway.
Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home or business to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down a drain or toilet.
As pipes age, we need to replace them to provide you with high-quality water and wastewater services.
Construction schedule
Construction has been scheduled on Cathedral Road to start in October 2025 and finish mid 2026. Construction on Bartley Bull Parkway is planned to start in October 2025 and finish mid 2026. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events. All work is warrantied for two (2) years from the completion date.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Nabolsy Contracting Inc. and designed by consultant Ainley Group under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighborhood.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
What to expect during construction
Refer to our short video to learn what to expect before, during, and after watermain construction. The video also answers common questions about:
- Why your water may be temporarily shut off.
- How traffic, parking, and waste collection may be affected.
- How driveways, roads, and sod (grass) are repaired.

We value your feedback
At the end of construction, we’ll invite you to provide feedback on your experience. We understand construction can be disruptive, and we appreciate your patience as we work to improve our community’s infrastructure. This work both maintains and improves Peel’s world-class water systems, allowing us to provide safe drinking water and reliable wastewater services to support a thriving community for life.
