Project 22-2255 - November 18, 2025 update
Streets affected: Queensway East and Stanfield Road
Project update
Peel Region has identified the need for upgrades to the sanitary sewer and watermain system along The Queensway. As part of this program, we will be replacing a section of large diameter watermain at Stanfield Road and Queensway East.
To reduce speeding along Melton Drive while we are working on the Queensway East, we will be installing temporary traffic calming speed humps along Melton Drive, between Cawthra Road and Dixie Road.
We expect to install speed humps starting November 24, 2025. It will take a couple of days to have them all installed. These speeds humps are not appropriate for heavy wintery conditions and will be removed between the months of January - March, as required.
Once our project is completed in Fall 2027, the City of Mississauga intends to install permanent speed cushions shortly after.
