Project 22-2255 – March 27, 2026 update
Streets affected: Queensway East and Stanfield Road
Traffic impacts notice – update
Peel Region has been rehabilitating the watermain(s) along Queensway East and Stanfield Road. This work is required to keep providing you with high-quality water.
Traffic on Queensway East will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 7:00pm on March 27, 2026, until 7:00pm on March 28, 2026. This is to accommodate the ongoing work for a watermain connection on Queensway East.
Construction schedule
Construction began in the fall of 2025 and will finish in summer 2027. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events. All work is warrantied for two years from the completion date.
Under the City of Mississauga Noise Bylaw, work is allowed to take place over the weekend overnight (between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.) to reduce the impact of our work. It will take place on Queensway East and Stanfield Road, between March 27, 2026 and March 30, 2026.
Traffic and parking
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction (eastbound and westbound) on Queensway East at the intersection of Stanfield Road. Additional traffic signage and traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists and maintain safe traffic operations during the lane reduction.
