Project 22-2255 - February 5, 2026 update
Streets affected: Queensway East and Stanfield Road
Traffic impacts notice - update
Due to recent extreme weather and unforeseen site conditions the closure of Stanfield Road north of Queensway and turning lane reduction on Queensway has been rescheduled. The road closure and turning lane reduction are not expected to happen until February 23, 2026.
Traffic impacts
- Stanfield Road will be closed for through traffic north of the Queensway East, as shown on the attached map. Additionally, there will be a left turn lane reduction in the westbound lanes on Queensway East, at Stanfield Road. It will not be possible to turn left when driving westbound on Queensway East to go south onto Stanfield Road. This closure and turning restriction will take place from February 23rd, 2026, into Summer 2027.
- The bike lanes on Stanfield Road will be closed just south of the Queensway; cyclists will be required to dismount and follow pedestrian signage marked on site around the working areas.
- Detour maps are attached to this notice showing the routes that will be marked on site with signage to access the impacted areas.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area.
