Project 19-2215 – July 14, 2026 update
Streets affected: Wesley Avenue at Lakeshore Road West and Park Street West
Project update
Peel Region will be installing a new watermain and large sanitary sewer along Lakeshore Road between Jack Darling Memorial Park and Elmwood Avenue, and a new sanitary sewer on Wesley Avenue from Park Street to Lakeshore Road. We will also be replacing a section of watermain between Ibar Way and Shawnmarr Road. For more information on the project, visit our project webpage.
Wesley Avenue at Park Street West
To support construction, we will need a working compound (construction site) at the intersection of Wesley Avenue and Park Street West. This compound will be used for tunnelling and installation of a new large sanitary sewer. The working compound is shown on the attached map. We anticipate setting up the working compound as early as August 4, 2026, and will require it into Spring 2028.
Wesley Avenue at Lakeshore Road West
A second working compound will be required on Wesley Avenue at Lakeshore Road, on the roadway and in the public parking lot. Like the compound described above, this working compound will be used for tunnelling operations and installation of a new large sanitary sewer. The working compound location is shown on an attached map. We anticipate setting up the working compound as early as August 17, 2026, and will require it into Spring 2028.
The timelines stated above are approximate and may change due to weather conditions or other unexpected events.
