Project 18-2441 – December 2, 2025 update
Streets affected: Southcreek Road and Etobicoke Valley Dog Park
Project completion notice
Peel Region has been working in your area to install a new sanitary trunk sewer storage facility and properly retire an existing sanitary trunk sewer. Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home or business to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down the drain or is flushed down the toilet. This project is now complete.
To respond to climate change and meet the demands of a growing population, this new, state-of-the-art underground facility will store extra wastewater during large rain events. Refer to the Environmental Assessment for more information.
Etobicoke Valley Dog Park
Restoration of the Etobicoke Valley Dog Park is complete, although minor maintenance activities continue. The park and associated trails are now open.
Project funding
The Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) is a cost-shared infrastructure funding program between the Federal and Provincial governments and has committed $8 million of combined funding toward this Peel Region project.
