Project 18-1357 – September 30, 2025 update – road paving and blocked driveway access
Streets affected: Queen Street West from Mill Street South to Mercer Drive
Road paving and blocked driveway access
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region will be repairing the road where it was affected by our recent watermain construction. Thank you for your cooperation while we finish this work.
Construction schedule
Road paving activities have started and will be extending into October. We will be paving your driveway Monday, October 6th and Tuesday, October 7th.
Road paving may be delayed due to weather conditions, as it cannot take place when the ground is saturated with water, or the temperature is below 3°C.
Driveway access and parking
While your street is being paved, your driveway will not be accessible from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6th, until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7th. You and your visitors will need to find alternative parking locations. We will notify the City of Brampton to expect parking on side streets during this time. If you need to use your driveway during these hours or have any special accommodations you require, please call the Project Ambassador, Avalon Myers at (416) 457-3889.
Traffic impacts
Work will be phased to minimize traffic disruption. Access to Queen Street West from Elliott Street, McMurchy Avenue South and Haggert Avenue South will be closed during this time. Please follow the posted detour signs.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
