Project 18-1357 – September 30, 2025 update – road closure and paving notice
Streets affected: Queen Street West at Elliott Street, McMurchy Avenue South and Haggert Avenue South
Temporary road closure and paving notice
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region has been installing a new watermain along Queen Street West. This work is required to keep providing you with high-quality water.
At this stage, a temporary road closure will be required to complete road paving.
Traffic impacts
Access to Queen Street West will be closed at Elliott Street, McMurchy Avenue South, and Haggert Avenue South while paving work is underway. There will be no access through these intersections during the closure.
These closures will take place from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
A detour route will be clearly marked with signs.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
