Project 18-1357 - March 11, 2024
Streets affected: Queen Street West from McLaughlin Road to Mill Street South.
Peel Region will be working in your neighbourhood to replace the watermain along Queen Street West from McLaughlin Road to Mill Street South. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water services.
Lane reductions will be required to complete this work
Traffic impacts
- Eastbound/Westbound Queen Street West will be reduced to a single lane in each direction from McLaughlin Road to Mill Street South. These lane reductions are expected to occur from Friday, March 15, 2024, until fall 2025. These timelines may change based on the construction progress and weather.
Night work
- Starting at approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, we will be realigning the pavement markings on the road for these upcoming traffic impacts.
Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible. We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these traffic impacts.

When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
Thank you for your patience as we complete this necessary work. This work will allow us to continue providing you with high quality tap water. If you have any questions, please contact us.
