Project 18-1357 - June 27, 2024 update

Streets affected: Wellington Street West between Elizabeth Street South and Mill Street South

Peel Region was planning to replace the sanitary sewer on your street this year. Due to constructability issues, this work has been postponed.

Construction timelines

We are working to determine when we will complete this work. Any areas we have disturbed will be temporarily restored. Temporary restoration is planned to begin in July 2024, with sod being placed after the summer to avoid the hot, dry weather.

Important note

The future construction will take place in the municipal right-of-way, the land owned by your city located between the street and your water service box (small, round metal valve in either your driveway or lawn). This work may impact the bottom of your driveway and the area around the sidewalk. We therefore recommend delaying any driveway paving or major landscaping until after Peel Region has completed all construction work.
