Project 18-1310 C2 - October 27, 2025 update
Streets affected: Dixie Road and Dundas Street East
Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to replace the watermain along Dundas Street East as part of our commitment to maintaining and improving your water service.
Under the City of Mississauga Noise Bylaw, overnight work is permitted to minimize disruption. Work will take place from October 27 to 30, 2025, between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Dixie Road and Dundas Street East.
Schedule
This work is scheduled to take place overnight on two consecutive nights:
- October 27 to 28, 2025
- October 28 to 29, 2025
- October 29 to 30, 2025
Work will occur each night between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., in accordance with the City of Mississauga Noise Bylaw. Additional nights may be required due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic impacts
Lane restrictions will be in place at the intersection of Dixie Road and Dundas Street from about 9 p.m. on October 27 to about 8 a.m. on October 30. Please expect minor traffic disruptions.
Dixie Road north of the Dundas Street intersection: 2 median lanes northbound and 2 median lanes southbound will be closed for the duration of the work, including daytime hours of October 27 to October 30. We will place signs giving directions.
Noise
We do not expect significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during this time. Efforts will be made to reduce impact to residents.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes.
