Streets affected: Olde Base Line Road improvements from 500m west of McLaughlin Road to Maple Avenue.
Construction update notice
Further to our Resident Notice dated February 26, 2025, Peel Region is committed to keeping you informed of the progress of this project and any changes to the project schedule.
This project has been progressing well; however, in order to install a large pipe culvert, a full road closure will be required on Olde Base Line Road from May 20, 2025, to July 7, 2025, between Chinguacousy Road and McLaughlin Road. Please refer to the detour map below for alternative routing information.
Construction schedule
The Olde Base Line Road Improvements are anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025. The remaining works include culvert installations, road resurfacing, storm sewer replacements, intersection lighting improvements, pavement markings, and landscaping.
Traffic control
Olde Base Line Road will be closed to through traffic. Local access will be permitted from either ends of the road closure limits. Emergency services if required will be permitted.
Waste collection and mail delivery
We do not anticipate any changes to your garbage and recycling schedule. Please mark your house number on your containers or bins to help with identification. Should there be any changes to mail delivery, you will be notified in advance.
