Field investigation notice
Peel Region is planning future improvement of the sanitary sewer system in your area. Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home or business to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down a drain or toilet. As pipes age and our population grows, we need to replace them to provide you with high-quality wastewater services.
We will be in your neighbourhood conducting field investigations along Aviation Road, as shown on the attached map.
We will be conducting ground investigation work in your area to collect information about underground soil and rock conditions. As part of this work, temporary cables and small monitoring sensors will be placed on the ground surface within road allowances, boulevards, parks, or other public areas. The equipment will remain in place for a short period while measurements are taken and will be removed once the work is complete.
We expect these activities to happen in August 2026.
Consultant working hours
The work will be completed by WSP under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws.
Driveway impacts
Temporary cables will cross driveways during the investigation. As a result, driveway access may be briefly restricted while measurements are being collected. These interruptions will be short in duration, and crews will work to minimize inconvenience to residents.
