    Hot mix asphalt placement

Streets affected: The Gore Road from Patterson Side Road to 100m north Finnerty Sideroad.

Further to our notices dated September 11, 2023, November 15, 2023, August 14, 2024, and September 05, 2024, Peel Region is committed to keeping you informed of the progress of this project and any changes to the project schedule. We are planning to re-mobilize to site to complete the remaining work.

The works completed to date included removals, road re-construction, culvert replacements, retaining wall installation, asphalt placement, landscaping and road signs installation.

    Construction details

    The work includes:

    • Corrective works to existing base asphalt along the roadway
    • Placement of top asphalt
    • Line painting

    Construction schedule

Start: Monday, May 19th ,2025 (weather permitting)
Finish: Monday, June 30th, 2025 (weather permitting)
Incomplete works caused by weather will be moved to the following week.

    Working hours

Hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expect some traffic delays during these hours.

    Traffic control

    • The work will be done to minimize traffic disruption while maintaining a safe working environment as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
    • Traffic flows will be maintained with expected stagnation during these works since a single lane will be used for maintaining north bound and south bound traffic as previously done.
    • Please use caution when travelling through the work zone.

    Waste collection and mail delivery

We do not anticipate any changes to your garbage and recycling schedule. Please mark your house number on your containers or bins to help with identification. Should there be any changes to mail delivery, you will be notified in advance.
