Project 12-4085 - August 19, 2024 update
Further to our Resident Notices dated September 11, 2023, and November 15, 2023, Peel Region is committed to keeping you informed of the progress of this project and any changes to the project schedule. This project has been progressing well; however, it is necessary to have a road closure installed from August 26, 2024, to September 06, 2024, between Patterson Side Road and Finnerty Side Road in order to safely install two (2) large pipe culverts; please refer for an established detour map.
The works completed to date includes driveway culvert replacement, removals, implementation of retaining walls, eco-passage culvert and road re-construction.
Construction schedule
The reconstruction of The Gore Road is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2024 with some finishing works in early 2025. The remaining works include culvert installation, road reconstruction, Hot Mix Asphalt paving, retaining wall installation, pavement markings, and landscaping.
Traffic control
The Gore Road will be closed to through traffic. Local access will be permitted from either ends of the road closure limits. Emergency services if required will be permitted.
Waste collection and mail delivery
We do not anticipate any changes to your garbage and recycling schedule. Please mark your house number on your containers or bins to help with identification. Should there be any changes to mail delivery, you will be notified in advance.
