Streets affected: Dixie Road from Old School Road to Mayfield Road
Project update
Peel Region will be installing new watermain and sanitary main along Dixie Road from Old School Road to Mayfield Road.
At this stage, temporary lane reductions will be required to complete this work.
Traffic impacts
Sections of Dixie Road will be reduced to a single shared lane between Old School Road and Mayfield Road. Where a single lane is shared with oncoming traffic, please yield to oncoming traffic as stated by the road signage. During this time, traffic will be directed by temporary portable traffic signals. These impacts will take place for approximately one year starting mid-March 2026, weather permitting.
Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Visit work zone safety for more information.
