Project 10-1205 C5 – March 3, 2025 update

Streets affected: Corbet Drive from Burnhamthorpe Road East to Ibis Court

Peel Region has been working in your area on major upgrades to the Hanlan watermains, part of Peel’s most critical infrastructure.  

Under the Noise Bylaw, the City of Mississauga is allowing overnight work to be done by our contractor.

Schedule

This continuous overnight work will take place 24 hours a day on Corbet Drive from Burnhamthorpe Road East to Ibis Court starting Monday, March 17 at 7 a.m. until it is completed on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Additional nights may be required due to unpredictable delays, such as poor weather conditions. It also requires a temporary road closure.

Traffic impacts

Corbet Drive will be temporarily closed to all through traffic from Burnhamthorpe Road East to Ibis Court from Monday, March 17 until Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Road signs will clearly mark the detour route, and the attached map also shows the detour route. No on-street parking will be allowed.

Noise

We don’t anticipate significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during these operations. Efforts will be made to reduce as much as possible impacts to area residents.

Safety during construction

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
