Project background
Brampton and parts of Caledon are expected to grow significantly by 2051, increasing demands on the wastewater collection system. Existing sewer pipes and the McVean Sewage Pumping Station will not have sufficient capacity to accommodate the additional wastewater.
Recommended route
Potential routes were evaluated through the Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process. A recommended route has now been identified, and public feedback will be considered before the preferred route is confirmed.
The recommended route begins at Highway 50 and follows Castlemore Road, Humberwest Parkway, Cottrelle Boulevard, North Park Drive and Bramalea Road before connecting to the Region’s existing East-West Diversion trunk sewer near Derry Road.

Join us at Public Information Centre (PIC) No. 2 to:
- Review the recommended route and learn how it was selected
- Learn about preliminary construction locations and potential impacts
- Speak with the Project Team
- Share your feedback before the preferred route is confirmed
The PIC will be held in an informal drop-in format.
Date and time: Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Location: Balmoral Recreation Centre, 255 Balmoral Drive, Brampton, ON
Review the materials and complete the survey
After the PIC, the display boards and an online survey will be available on the project website.
Complete the online survey by October 13, 2026.
The Project Team will review and consider the feedback received before confirming the preferred route. The study findings and consultation record will be documented in a Project File Report, which will be made available for public review.
