The Regional Municipality of Peel
By-law number 35-2024
A by-law to revise the posted speed limits and implement a flashing speed limit zone on Regional Road 14 (Mayfield Road); and to amend By-law Number 15-2013 being a by-law to regulate traffic on roads under the jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel.
WHEREAS, the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 24th day of January 2013 passed By-law 15-2013 to consolidate the by-laws that regulate traffic on roads under jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel;
AND WHEREAS, the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 23rd day of May, 2024, authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend By-law 15-2013 to revise the posted speed limits on Regional Road 14 (Mayfield Road) to 70 km/h from 150 metres west of Pillsworth Road to 760 metres east of Bramalea Road, from 460 metres west of Bramalea Road to 100 metres west of Heart Lake Road, and from 100 metres west of McLaughlin Road to Regional Road 19 (Winston Churchill Boulevard);
AND WHEREAS, the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 23rd day of May, 2024, authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend By-law 15-2013 to implement a flashing 50 km/h speed limit zone on Regional Road 14 (Mayfield Road) from 395 metres west of Creditview Road to 500 metres east of Regional Road 1 (Mississauga Road) with time of operation from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on school days;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:
That Part 12 of Schedule A of By-law 15-2013 is amended by deleting the following:
