Bike Month

Bike Month in Peel Region provides residents across Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga with the opportunity to explore the many benefits of biking. Whether you are new to riding a bike, or an experienced cyclist, Bike Month is a great opportunity to explore the growing network of bike routes throughout Peel.
Use these Bike Safety Presentations to help teach your class about safe cycling. Topics include how to properly wear a helmet, how to check your bike is safe to ride, and how to ride safely on a sidewalk.
EcoSchools “Walking and Rolling in Peel” Action Card highlights the importance of safe, active, and low-carbon ways to go to school – like walking, cycling, scootering, public transportation, and carpooling.
Schools who certify in the 2025-26 school year can earn up to 10 points with this action card when completing Peel Region’s Bike to School Week!
More students taking active and sustainable transportation means fewer vehicles on the road and less pollution in the air. It also leads to better physical and mental health, a healthier environment, and safer streets and school communities.
Bike Week planned for June? You can still gain points when you log your planned activities for the “Walking and Rolling in Peel” Action Card by the certification deadline:
- April 27, 2026 for DPCDSB
- May 8, 2026 for PDSB
