Steve Jacques, Commissioner of Human Services

As Commissioner of Human Services for Peel Region, Steve oversees social service programs, including Housing, Income Support Services, and EarlyOn and Child Care Services.

Before joining Peel Region, Steve served as the General Manager of Community Development for the City of Greater Sudbury. His various roles have included Director of Growth Management and Chief Planner for Peel Region, Director of Ontario Works for the City of Hamilton, and Director of Revitalization for the Toronto Community Housing Corporation.

Steve is a Registered Professional Planner in Ontario. He holds a Master of Science degree in Planning from the University of Toronto, an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from Laurentian University, and a Leadership designation from The IVEY School of Business at Western University.
