Patricia Caza, Regional Solicitor and Commissioner of Legislative Services

Serving as Regional Solicitor and Commissioner of Legislative Services, Patricia leads the Legislative Services Department in delivering services that ensure public access to government, transparency, compliance with applicable legislation and management of risk.  She also serves as Peel Region’s Chief Legal Officer, providing legal advice to Regional Council to inform decision making and protect Peel Region’s legal interests.

Patricia worked in private practice for 9 years. Since joining Peel Region she has served in various roles, including Senior Legal Counsel, Director of Procurement, Deputy Regional Solicitor and Director of Legal Services.

Patricia obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Municipal Law Departments Association of Ontario, and the International Municipal Lawyers Association.
