Kealy Dedman, Commissioner of Public Works
Kealy Dedman serves as the Commissioner of Public Works for Peel Region, overseeing a team of over 1,400 employees who provide transportation, waste management, water, wastewater, planning, and TransHelp services to approximately 1.5 million residents and 200,000 businesses.
With over 25 years’ professional experience, Kealy has held high-level positions in the cities of Guelph, Cambridge, and Mississauga. She is dedicated to promoting sustainable infrastructure, fostering innovation, and mentoring the next generation of municipal leaders.
Kealy earned her degrees in Civil Engineering and Biology from Queen’s University and a Master of Public Administration from Western University.
In 2022, Kealy was named a “Top Ten Public Works Leader” in North America.
