Making a difference in people’s lives

Hazel is a Peel Region retiree but her passion to serve the community and love for her organization inspires her to volunteer her time as a crisis responder.

Victim Services of Peel regularly receives referrals from Peel Police and community agencies. This is where Hazel steps in as a friendly voice to provide support and comfort to those who have suffered traumatic experiences like domestic abuse or the sudden death of a loved one.

She approaches each case with compassion and empathy to make sure that those in need feel heard and supported. Her commitment to making a difference in people's lives is truly admirable.
