Frontline health care workers
On April 17, employees at Sheridan Villa Long Term Care Centre learned that a resident had tested positive for COVID-19.
Sheridan Villa promptly opened a Supportive Care Unit to care for and separate COVID-positive residents from residents who tested negative, then issued a call for workers.
Darryl Hawtin, Registered Practical Nurse, was among the first to volunteer.
