Actions we’re taking
Peel’s aging population is growing fast.
Peel Region’s long-term care homes need more funding to meet growing demand and rising costs. Many residents have complex needs, including dementia. Updated provincial funding and continued support for person-centred care are needed to maintain quality care, meet standards, and ensure long-term sustainability.
Peel Region is working to improve care for seniors by using new care approaches, securing stable funding, and building stronger partnerships across government.
These efforts help seniors get the support they need.
Funding for Adult Day Services
These services are increasingly viewed as a cost-effective way to help residents remain in their homes longer while supporting family caregivers and reducing pressure on hospitals and long-term care facilities.
Peel Region continues to advocate for program expansion and sustainable funding to ensure these supports are available for seniors and their caregivers.
