Peel’s provincial election priorities
The next provincial election is Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Peel is a diverse, growing and vibrant community that is an important contributor to the success of our province, now and into the future.
To meet the needs of Ontario, we need our next provincial government to address the needs of Peel residents and businesses.
This means ensuring Peel residents have a place to call home, adequate provincial funding for robust health and human services that can match community need, and enhanced investment in infrastructure critical to our growing communities.
We’re advocating for 10 key priorities for provincial parties and local candidates to consider and support:
- Peel’s provincial funding shortfalls
- A new municipal fiscal framework
- Making housing affordable
- Addressing homelessness in Peel
- Accelerated infrastructure spending for housing targets
- Making municipalities whole – development charges shortfall
- Focusing on mental health and addictions
- Support for seniors – dementia care
- Addressing the pressures of supporting asylum claimants
- Combatting intimate partner violence
