Peel’s federal election priorities
With support from the next federal government, Peel Region will continue building a stronger, more inclusive future for all residents.
Peel is a growing, thriving community and a major economic hub, that is facing a changing and dynamic environment. Peel’s population and employment is expected to grow to more than two million residents and 970,000 jobs by 2041. While municipal governments know the local needs and concerns of our residents and businesses, it will be important that Peel Region partners with the next federal government to build critical infrastructure and provide the appropriate level of services to support Peel’s growth.
We’re advocating for 7 key priorities for federal parties and local candidates to consider and support:
- Strengthening Canada’s economy by investing in Peel
- New infrastructure stimulus programs
- Combatting climate change
- Making housing affordable
- Ensuring sustainable federal support for asylum claimants
- Enhancing integration of seniors dental programs
- Making child care accessible and affordable
