Peel residents continue to face significant affordability challenges that are increasingly reflected in rising demand for community supports. All levels of government must act to alleviate food insecurity, housing instability, and reliance on emergency services.
Actions we're taking
Peel Region remains committed to supporting residents experiencing affordability challenges while helping individuals participate in the workforce and achieve greater financial stability.
We’re asking the Province to match Ontario Works earnings rules with ODSP and better coordinate community support programs so people can achieve greater financial stability and rely less on emergency and municipal services.
