Where is the work happening?
The work is happening at the intersection of Albion Vaughan Road/Caledon-King Townline Road South and King Street E/King Road.
What are we doing?
The work to be completed includes minor road widening, curb and sidewalk replacement, storm sewer replacement, landscaping, steel beam guide rail and concrete barrier installation, signal work, partial depth and full depth asphalt pavement replacement and restoration
When?
Construction is scheduled to start in June 2022 and finish in November 2022, weather permitting (weather permitting).
Working Hours
- Hours of operation will vary depending on project phases and updates will be provided accordingly on Region’s website.
- Boulevard and other works immediately adjacent to the intersection will take place during nonpeak hours, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
- All paving works not limited to milling and paving, will be completed at night between 7 p.m.to 6 a.m. Monday to Friday.
- The Contractor may also be permitted to work on Saturdays, as may be required from 8 :00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Extended working hours may cause some inconvenience to the public; however, this will help facilitate completion of the project as quickly as possible.
- Hours of operation follow applicable municipal by - laws.
- Peel has retained Graham Bros Construction Ltd. to complete the work on the Region’s behalf.
Traffic control
- Existing traffic flows will be maintained during construction. However, due to the nature of the work, we will need to reduce traffic lanes to one Lane closures will depend on the Contractor’s schedule.
- Updates regarding traffic control and closures will be provided accordingly.
- Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
- Please use caution when travelling through the work zone
