Temporary road closure
Riverwood Terrace. Project 17-2280
Peel Region has been working in your area to install new sanitary sewers. At this stage of the project, we are installing a new sanitary sewer along Old King Road. Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home to a wastewater treatment plant. Wastewater is created when water goes down the drain or is flushed down the toilet. As our population grows, we need to build new sewers to keep providing high quality wastewater services.
Traffic impacts update
Riverwood Terrace will continue to be closed to all through traffic near Nunnville Road, as shown on the map below. This closure will remain in place to ensure the safety of both the public and construction personnel during sanitary sewer construction. This road is now expected to remain in place until December 31, 2023.
Residents who live on the street will have access to their homes. No through traffic will be allowed and there will be no on-street parking in the affected area.
