Project update

Sanitary Sewer along Harvestview Avenue and Sant Farm Drive

The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to install a new sanitary sewer. This work is required to maintain and improve existing wastewater services.

At this stage in the project, we need a new sanitary sewer along Harvestview Avenue and Sant Farm Drive.

Project details

The work will be completed by Earth Boring Co. Limited and supported by Chisholm Fleming and Associates Consultants, both under contract to the Region of Peel. The pipe will be installed underground using open cut trenching methodology.

Construction Schedule

This work is scheduled to begin on October 31st, 2022. Below is the tentative schedule and sequence of works. Please note that these days are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances:

Mainline Sanitary Sewer works will be completed this year. We will be returning in Spring 2023 to complete the sanitary services connections as well as make all necessary repairs to the road, boulevard, curb or sidewalk. All work is under warranty for two years from the completion date.

Working hours

Our contractor's normal working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with the local municipalitys bylaws. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but shorter working days would require your neighbourhood to be under construction for a longer period of time.

Traffic impacts

We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane during construction. If we must reroute traffic, we will place signs giving directions. On-street parking will be reduced during construction when we are actively working on your street.

Those residents who live on Sant Farm Drive and Harvestview Avenue where we are actively working access to homes will be provided.

Safety during construction

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe - pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
